A skilled litigator, Mr. Beyer has focused his practice on California creditors’ rights matters for nearly two decades. Our clients benefit from his extensive experience in all types of debt enforcement cases including commercial finance enforcement, consumer credit card and auto deficiency, bankruptcy, and more. Chris has held positions in both creditors’ rights law firms and debt buyer entities, where he has served in a variety of roles including General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. He is admitted to all bankruptcy districts of California.
Direct responsibility for thousands of collections cases over his career has allowed Chris to gain a deep understanding of the rules governing California state court litigation, and to develop effective strategies to obtain judgments and force settlements before trial. When trial is required, Chris prepares each case for success utilizing his expertise in discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, and oral argument. He boasts an undefeated trial record.
Mr. Beyer’s work does not end with judgment. Once judgment is obtained Chris pursues assets of all types including wages, bank and brokerage accounts, vehicles, equipment, and real estate. Examples of his most effective post judgment strategies include debtor exams held at the local courthouse, and pursuing assets of the debtor’s spouse when possible.
